Angie

Angie joined the Cedar Valley Orthopedic team in 2023.  She graduated from Wartburg College in 1998 with a BA in Business Administration.  For the past 25 years her and her husband have resided in Cedar Falls.  They have two children; one attends Cedar Falls High School and the other attends Iowa State.  Angie enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, watching baseball, reading, playing cards and gardening.

Jill

Jill is proud to be a radiologic technologist for all providers in the office. She joined Cedar Valley Orthopedics in 2012. Jill graduated from both the University of Northern Iowa with her Bachelor's Degree, and Covenant School of Radiology. She and her husband adore their two children, along with their Olde English Bulldog. She loves her family and spending time with them on vacation and attending St. Louis Cardinals games. Jill sponsors a teenager in the Dominican Republic to help him get through school. She loves helping out in the kid zone at church. Her favorite sports teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes, and UNI Football. Some things Jill enjoys are Crossfit, playing golf and going on walks with her family. She’s also a big fan of fountain Diet Coke.

Sara

Sara joined the Cedar Valley Orthopedic team in 2021, after more than 10 years as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room. Sara lives on an acreage with her husband and two children. She enjoys farming, gardening, hiking, and anything outdoors. Her office duties include rooming and coordination of patients during Dr. Bartelt and Stephanie’s clinics, in-office procedures, and surgery scheduling.

Austin

Austin has been with Cedar Valley Orthopedics since 2020. Austin began his career in the physical therapy department, and as athletic trainer for Waterloo schools. He is a 2019 graduate from UNI with his Bachelor's in Athletic Training. He serves the role of physician extender, primarily for Dr. Bartelt and Stephanie. Some of his duties include casting and splinting, brace fittings, and scribing, among many other tasks. He currently resides in Grundy Center with his beautiful wife, Brianna and dog, Mya. In his free time, Austin enjoys watching sports and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking. His favorite sports teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Cubs, and Milwaukee Bucks. 

Hayley

Hayley joined Cedar Valley Orthopedics in 2022 after working in surgery for 6 years.  She has been a nurse for 11 years and her job duties include working alongside Dr. Thomas Gorsche by rooming and caring for patients in the office and assisting in surgery.  When Hayley is not at work, she enjoys spending time at home with her son and Labradoodle! Hayley enjoys home projects and crafting!

Kelsey

Kelsey joined our team in 2023 after working at Allen Hospital in surgery as an Orthopedic Specialist. Prior to her time at Allen, she worked with the South Dakota State University football team as an Athletic Trainer for 5 years. She graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. After her time at UIU she attended South Dakota State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Exercise Science in 2019. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family and dog, playing games, watching sports, reading and kayaking.

Jesse

Jesse is a proud Radiologic Technologist. He joined Cedar Valley Orthopedic Surgery in 2024 but has been with Cedar Valley Medical Specialists since 2008. Jesse graduated from Midwestern State University with his Bachelor's Degree, and Iowa Central School of Radiology. He and his wife have four children who keep them very busy. His favorite sports teams are the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Knicks, Iowa Hawkeyes, UNI Panthers and the San Fransico 49er's. Some things Jesse enjoys are playing games with his family, working with mechanics of vehicles, machinery, computers, and checking out craft beer breweries. 

Sarah

Sarah joined Cedar Valley Orthopedics in 2004. Sarah graduated from Waterloo East High School and later went on to receive her CCMA certification. She has two children; one who currently attends UNI and the other at Denver schools. Sarah volunteers at her children’s music and sports events. Her duties include scheduling surgeries, injections, and other procedures. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, playing cards, traveling, attending concerts, and exploring new things.

Abby

Abby joined Cedar Valley Orthopedics in 2016 and became our work comp coordinator in 2020. Abby works with our work comp patients throughout their treatment in our office as well as our Tricare and VA patients. Abby lives locally with her son and enjoys photography, live music events, reading, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Amanda

Amanda joined the Cedar Valley Orthopedics team in 2021. She attended Waterloo East and went on to graduate from the College of Hair Design in 2012 and Hawkeye Community College in 2022. At our office, she coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals, in addition to obtaining authorizations and scheduling diagnostic imaging for patients. She lives in Waterloo with her husband, son, and bonus daughter. She is an avid Iowa Hawkeyes supporter and is married to a die-hard New England Patriots fan. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with family and friends, crafting, and playing co-ed softball or sand volleyball.

Chelsey

Chelsey joined Cedar Valley Orthopedics in 2022. She is the Imaging Coordinator in our office. She lives in Shell Rock with her 3 boys and dog. She is currently attending NIACC to pursue a degree in nursing. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, cooking and gardening.

Elise

Elise joined the Cedar Valley Orthopedic team in 2024. She moved to the Cedar Valley in 2021 and grew up in southwest Iowa. Elise currently live with her boyfriend, two dogs and cat. She enjoys spending time with my family, especially her nieces and nephews. Elise also enjoy going on walks with our dogs, traveling, spending time outdoors, planting flowers, and spending time with friends.
